Endangered Polynesian ground doves & Tuamotu sand piper scarf

A handpainted silk scarf containing a pair of critically endangered Polynesian ground doves (male and female) on one side and an endangered Tuamotu sand piper on the other side with foliage flowers, a banana plant and hibiscus. These birds are listed on the IUCN red list due to habitat loss and newly introduced predators. The Polynesian ground doves are native to Tuamotus, French Polynesia and live in tropical forests below tree canopies, shrubs and coconut palms, with only about 100-120 that exist in the wild.
The Tuamotu Sandpiper is native to Tuamotu Island, French Polynesia and lives in coastal areas and thickets, only 250-1000 birds exist in the wild.

Endangered Kakapo owl parrot & Western ground parrot handpainted scarf

These birds are critically endangered due to newly introduced predators such as foxes, wild cats, and also wildfires. The western ground parrot is native to Western Australia in low heathland habitats, white sand and foliage. These one of the rarest birds in the world with numbers rapidly declining since the 1990s, with now only 40 individual birds that exist in the wild.
The Kakapo (owl parrot or night parrot) is native to New Zealand in scrub lands, coastal areas and forests containing podocarps, beech, tawa and rata trees. It is the worlds only flightless parrot with now only 148 living Kakapo birds existing in the wild. At one time they were almost wiped out due to predators such as cats, ferrets and stoats as well as being hunted for their meat & feathers. These birds now reside in the three islands of Codfish, Anchor and the little barrier islands which are predator free.

These wild Bovidae are listed as critically endangered on the IUCN red list due to habitat loss and hunted for their meat, horns, fur and medicinal properties.

The Saola are native to forests in Vietnam and Laos, with only about 200-24 that exist in the wild. They are also known as the Asian unicorn because of their long straight horns. The Kouprey or Grey ox were once native to Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam but now only remain in wildlife sanctuaries and protected forests, they are believed to be extinct or very close to extinction.
